We’re getting an update on those firefighters hurt during a controlled burn near Covelo. CAL FIRE Mendocino Unit says four firefighters were injured Friday, with two needing a helicopter ride to a burn center because of how remote the area is. The good news this morning, none of the injuries are considered serious. All four have been treated and released from the hospital. The work was part of a planned effort to cut down wildfire risk ahead of wildfire season.
