Governor Gavin Newsom has officially proclaimed April 19th through the 25th as California Library Week. The Governor called California’s more than one thousand public libraries the “heart of our communities.”He says libraries offer more than books–with Resources for job seekers and collaborative workspaces, Adult literacy programs, warming and cooling centers during extreme weather, and reliable info during local disasters.
