A man is on the run after escaping custody in Lake County. Authorities say 40-year-old Matthew Wratislaw was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly breaking into a home on Lakeshore Boulevard, where homeowners found a shattered sliding glass door and the suspect inside. Deputies say Wratislaw struggled with officers before being taken into custody, then jumped out of a moving ambulance near Hill Road while being transported for evaluation. He was last seen wearing a green hooded jacket and red plaid flannel, and while not considered a danger to the public, deputies are asking residents to stay alert.
