A community event in Clearlake later this month aims to help residents better understand what’s in their drinking water. Cal-WATCH and the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians are hosting a free public open house Saturday, May 30th, from 11am to 4pm at the Clearlake Senior Center. Experts will answer questions about harmful algal blooms, well water testing, and contamination concerns tied to Clear Lake, which supplies water to much of the county. Organizers say the family-friendly event will also feature hands-on activities, refreshments, and opportunities for residents to learn about free water testing programs.
