State Senator Mike McGuire is gaining more political support in his campaign for Congress. Planned Parenthood Action Fund announced this week it’s backing McGuire after he helped lead a push for $230 million in state funding to keep Planned Parenthood clinics operating across California. McGuire says the move was designed to protect reproductive healthcare access following federal funding cuts under the Trump administration. The endorsement joins a long list of support from Democratic leaders, unions and statewide organizations already backing his campaign.
