A human trafficking investigation tied to a cannabis grow in Humboldt County has resulted in an arrest. Deputies say search warrants served this week at properties near Bridgeville and Garberville led to the arrest of 45-year-old Georgi Tonev on trafficking charges. The case began after the Mexican Consulate reported a worker left stranded at a remote cultivation site without food or wages. Authorities say the worker was rescued during flooding and connected with support services while the investigation continues.
