Lucerne Elementary School District is looking for someone to step into an open board seat. The vacancy comes after the resignation of Cheyenne Higgins, and the district plans to fill it through a provisional appointment. Anyone 18 or older who lives in the district and is a registered voter can apply. Applications are due by 4 p.m. March 6, and candidates will be interviewed at the March 11 school board meeting.
