A trailer fire west of Ukiah Tuesday night quickly spread into nearby vegetation and prompted a large emergency response. Fire crews say flames from a double-wide trailer extended into trees and brush near Low Gap Road, burning about a quarter-acre and threatening another RV nearby. Scanner traffic also indicated several propane tanks were venting as firefighters battled the blaze. Additional crews and water tenders were called in to help contain the fire. By shortly after 10pm, firefighters reported the forward spread had been stopped, but crews remained on scene for hours cleaning up hotspots.
