California may soon have a plan to bring back grizzly bears, which have been extinct in the state since 1924.  The proposed California Grizzly Restoration Act would create a roadmap for reintroducing the bears by 2028.  The bill would have wildlife officials work with scientists and California tribes to study if reintroducing grizzlies is possible and safe.  The plan would require careful research and talks with local communities before any bears are brought back.   Some people are concerned about how grizzlies could affect rural communities.
