Cal Fire says hazard reduction burns in Mendocino County will need a permit starting Friday. You can get one online at burnpermit.fire.ca.,gov after you watch a short online
video about fire safety. Once you get a permit, it’s good for a year. You’ll have to follow the guidelines in the permit, and you are responsible for checking the burn status
regulated by the Mendocino County Air Quality District. If you don’t follow the rules, you could be cited and fined.
