The owner of a company that works with California Vinyards has died after he was attacked by an elephant while on a big game safari in Africa. Ernie Dosio of Lodi and two professional hunters were tracking yellow-backed duikers, a species of forest-dwelling antelope, when they were surprised by a group of female elephants with calves in Gabon in central Africa. A protective mother elephant charged and fatally gored Dosio. He was the owner of Pacific AgriLands, a farm management company specializing in vineyards based in Modesto
