A facility helping some of the area’s most vulnerable residents is set to get a lot bigger in Lake County. The Clearlake Planning Commission signed off Tuesday on a plan to expand the Hope Center, adding room for about 30 more people and boosting medical and support services . Backers say the goal is simple, ease pressure on hospitals and get more people into stable housing as demand keeps rising . Not everyone’s on board though, with nearby residents raising safety concerns, but police say issues tied to the center have been limited and manageable so far
