Investigators are working a homicide case after a woman was found shot to death in the Round Valley area near Covelo. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office says it happened early Sunday morning along a dirt road near Charlie Hurt Highway. So far, they haven’t released the victim’s name because investigators are working to notify her family. Deputies say they do have a person of interest, but they’re still trying to sort out exactly what happened.
