Two former police officers in Rohnert Park are now awaiting sentencing in a case that’s raised serious questions about misconduct. Federal prosecutors say they used traffic stops to shake down drivers for cash and cannabis, never logging what they took. One officer took a plea deal and testified, while the other was found guilty at trial. The fallout has already cost the city more than $1 million in settlements. Both are set to be sentenced May 6.
