
There’s some financial relief showing up on utility bills for millions of Californians this month. The California Climate Credit is kicking in, with natural gas customers seeing about $40 on average and more help expected for electric bills later on. The program pulls money from the state’s emissions system and sends it back to residents. This year, about $1.4 billion is going out to households statewide. There’s also a plan in the works to time those credits for when your bills are at their highest.
