A remote wildfire burning in Trinity County is drawing an aerial response from Cal Fire and smokejumpers Thursday night. The fire near South Fork Mountain between Dinsmore and Hayfork was estimated at 3 to 5 acres and spreading slowly in rugged terrain near the Trinity River. A Cal Fire helicopter was spotted working the fire while additional crews and equipment were being lined up for this morning. So far, officials say no homes or buildings are threatened.
