There’s a new wrinkle in the ongoing debate over dams on the Eel River. Reports say the Trump administration is looking at a plan for the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District to take over the Scott and Cape Horn dams. That would go against Pacific Gas and Electric Company plans to remove them as part of a shutdown project. Locals aren’t sold on the idea, especially with the costs tied to aging infrastructure. Even Jared Huffman is questioning how this would actually work.
