Tourism in California is still growing, but not without some mixed signals. A new report from Visit California shows travelers spent close to $160 billion last year, even as fewer international visitors came to the state. That dip cost about $1 billion, but strong domestic travel helped keep things moving in the right direction. California is still the top draw for tourists nationwide. And while the industry added thousands of jobs, it hasn’t fully caught up to pre-pandemic spending once you factor in inflation.
