Music will fill the halls at Ukiah High School for a full 24 hours this week as the marching band holds a “Play-A-Thon” fundraiser. Students plan to perform nonstop from Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon while collecting pledges for each hour they play. The money will help send band members to San Francisco to see the San Francisco Symphony and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Community members are also invited to stop by Friday evening to watch an open rehearsal and support the students.
