Lake County is looking for its next poet laureate. The poet laureate is a volunteer position that represents and promotes poetry in the community for a two-year term. This is the 13th year of the program in Lake County. Applicants must be over 18, have lived in the county at least two years in a row, have published works, and have a record of working with the community. They’ll have to submit a mission statement, four original poems, 2 letters of reccomendations and a resume. The application is due February 15th. The current poet laureate is Brenda Marie Yeager.
