A local election race in Mendocino County is starting to take shape after a candidate forum in Laytonville. Three candidates took the stage, each offering a different take on how to fix issues like the economy, housing, and slow county processes. Even with different ideas, they all agreed people in the county are feeling the strain and want change. About three dozen people showed up in person, with more watching online, while one candidate didn’t attend. Another forum is already set for this weekend as the race continues.
