Lake County is getting ready for the June primary, with ballot processing set to begin soon. Officials say vote-by-mail ballots will start being handled May 4 at the Registrar of Voters office in Lakeport. Scanning begins May 11, but results won’t be shared until after polls close at 8pm on Election Day. Observers are welcome to watch the process, as long as they don’t interfere.
