A free day of fishing is on the way for kids in Lake County. The Sheriff’s Activities League is teaming up with the Clearlake Bassmasters for a youth clinic later next month at Library Park in Lakeport. It’s open to kids 6 to 18, with a hands-on lesson first, then time out on the pier to actually fish, and they’re providing everything needed. Things get started at 9am, it ends with a hot dog feed, and if your kid’s older, they’ll need a fishing license, with sign-up info posted on our website.
