Mendocino County has managed to secure nearly half of a statewide allocation of free water tanks, bringing much-needed storage to rural residents. The Mendocino County Fire Safe Council says they relied on over 80 neighborhood groups to find the homes that needed them most. The goal is storage for domestic use, not irrigation or landscaping.
