Lake County leaders are looking at spending even more money to deal with that massive sewage spill from earlier this year. The board is set to consider another $250,000 for cleanup work, which would push the total cost to around $2 million. The spill sent millions of gallons of wastewater into the area, affecting more than 100 homes and forcing a long recovery effort. So far, funds have gone toward things like clean water, testing, and filtration systems, but officials say the work isn’t done yet. This latest request is also raising some questions, since there’s not a lot of detail on how the earlier money was spent.
