Amazon will no longer sell some high-speed electric bikes in California after several deadly crashes and new safety concerns.  California Attorney General Rob Bonta says e-bikes that go faster than the legal speed limit are considered mopeds or motorcycles and need a license to ride.  California law says that if a two-wheeled vehicle goes faster than 28 miles-per-hour with pedaling or 20 miles-per-our without pedaling, it counts as a moped or electric motorcycle.  Mopeds and e-motorcycles remain legal and on Amazon’s storefront, but a license and meeting age requirements will be required at checkout.
