What started as a routine traffic stop in Lakeport ended with a major drug seizure. Police say officers stopped a vehicle along Highway 29 and suspected the driver was under the influence. A K-9 search turned up nearly 18 grams of fentanyl and more than two-thousand dollars in cash. The driver was arrested on DUI and drug charges, and the fentanyl was taken off the street. Police say it’s part of their ongoing effort to keep dangerous drugs out of the community.
