A possible explosive device shut down part of Clearlake Oaks on Friday while authorities moved in. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious item at a business along East Highway 20 and secured the area. Deputies then requested help from the Napa County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad, which destroyed the device in a controlled operation. No one was hurt, and the area was later reopened as the investigation continues.
