Lake County is hosting a free one-day drop-off event for items like paint, batteries, chemicals, old meds, and used oil. Officials say certain items won’t be accepted, including explosives and narcotics, and there’s a 15-gallon limit per vehicle. The event runs Saturday morning at the Lake County Waste Solutions site in Lakeport.
