The work to improve the School Street corridor continues and the community is invited for the last public comment. This Thursday night at the Ukiah Valley Conference Center a forum is being held on the work which started a year ago, funded by Caltrans. The project is being paid for thanks to a grant from Caltrans to come up with enhancements for the vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle lanes while not wrecking the character of the street. Anyone attending the forum will be part of hands-on activities and a discussion on streetscape amenities including public art, furniture, and trees. You can also watch on Zoom… visit the city’s website for the link and dial-in info. This is the last of the community workshops on the streetscape project.
