A woman from Fort Bragg will serve three years in prison for a DUI-related fatal crash 6 years ago. When Gina Bean was convicted and sentenced in 2021 for the crash that killed a skateboarder along Highway 1 in Fort Bragg in 2019, she was given a lenient sentence–probation and completion of an alcohol rehab program. Despite that, prosecutors say she violated her probation and never finished the court-ordered rehab–and vanished until she was found earlier this year. Now, the Mendocino County Court judge who handled the case originally says Bean is out of chances and will have to serve a three-year term in state prison.
