A man from Fort Bragg is facing attempted murder and other charges after police answered a wellness check call. They say officers heard screaming inside a home on Ebbing Way last Friday afternoon, and when they forced their way in, they found and arrested Christopher Grewer after a struggle. The woman reported that Grewer had tried to strangle her with an electrical cord and threatened her if she called the police during a domestic argument. The woman was injured and taken to Adventist Hospital, while Grewer was taken to jail, where he is being held on $560,000 bond.
