Lake County search and rescue teams are looking for a missing at-risk man. They say Lee Woodruff was last seen at his home on Soda Bay Road in the Konocti area around 8:00 Monday morning. They’re asking people who live in that area to check backyards and structures, as he may have been disoriented and looking for a place to stay. He is 42 years old, 5 foot 6, 145 pounds with brown eyes, dark blue and black hair, short unshaven facial hair, last seen wearing blue jeans with a gray hoodie and black and white sneakers The Sheriff’s office has a photo of him on its Facebook page. A workshop later this month will outline a program to help people buy homes in areas less prone to wildfire. The state-backed program is called ReCoverCa and it provides up to $350,000 to qualified applicants. Lake County Supervisor EJ Crandall says the assistance could make a big difference by giving families stability while also helping the community.. Applicants for the program must live in an owned or rented primary residence in Zip Code 95422 in Lake County in 2017, within a High or Very High Fire Severity Zone. There are also income limits. The free workshop is scheduled for February 26th from 7 to 8 PM at the Best Western El Grande Inn on Lakeshore Drive. There is information about the program at the website gsfahome.org.
Three new members of the Kelseyville Unified School District board. Sabrina Andrus, Mike Brown, and Weston Seifert join the board. They’ll serve with Current board president Gilbert Rangel, and long-time member Rick Winner, who has been on the board since 2001.
