You’ll have less time to stand IN line at the DMV offices in Lakeport and Fort Bragg The state is cutting the Lakeport office hours to two days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays And Fort Bragg and from 8 to 5 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in Fort Bragg. The change from five days a week takes effect July 1st. Officials say it’s for efficiency and toward a more digital system. 18 other offices in rural communities statewide are also cutting back on in-person hours. Workers will move to office jobs where they can do virtual work.
Mendocino County’s Bower Park will be CLOSED for hazardous tree removal and fire fuel mitigation measures beginning July 1, 2024. This includes all areas of the park, including the restrooms, tennis courts, group picnic area, basketball court, baseball field, play area, and outdoor theater.
