The Lake County Board of Supervisors will get an update this week about plans to turn the former armory building in Lakeport into the new HQ for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The project is expected to cost around 20 million dollars but so far the county hasn’t come up with the funds. Lake co news.com reports Public Services director Lars Ewing says that even though there’s no money yet, it’s a good idea to start with the design work because those plans can quickly become obsolete and need to be redrawn. Also on the board agenda, is an overview of the Lake County 2050 general plan and local plan updates. The meeting starts at 9 am tomorrow in the board chambers at the county courthouse. It’s available on Zoom. You can see instructions and look over the agenda on the county website.
