California is setting aside September 25th to remember Dolly Parton, and the date is no accident. Nine-twenty-five pays tribute to Parton’s classic song, “Nine to Five.” But lawmakers say her impact reached well beyond music. More than 182,000 California children now receive free books through Parton’s Imagination Library. California also helped lead the way by offering families bilingual books in both English and Spanish.
