California is sending another wave of firefighters north to help battle wildfires in Oregon and Washington. Twenty fire engines and four rescue teams are deploying this week, bringing California’s total commitment since mid-July to nearly 400 firefighters and 60 engines. State officials say the mutual aid effort won’t affect California’s ability to respond to emergencies at home.
