A Kelseyville man facing serious child sexual abuse charges has reached a plea agreement just as his preliminary hearing was set to begin. Kyle Beck entered a no-contest plea to felony charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child and committing lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under the age of 14. The charges stem from an ongoing investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office into incidents dating back to 2016 and 2021. As part of the agreement, two additional felony charges from 2023 were dismissed. Prosecutors say Beck is now facing up to 18 years in state prison. While Beck has spent the last few months out of jail on home detention with an ankle monitor—a release mandated under California bail reform —he is officially scheduled to be sentenced on September 8th.
