Officials in Clearlake say a major cleanup milestone has now been reached following the Robin Lane sewer spill earlier this year. Crews have finished installing 105 UV filtration systems at affected homes, and testing shows the systems are successfully removing dangerous bacteria from private well water. Emergency managers say the incident response team is now wrapping up operations, while Lake County Special Districts takes over long-term monitoring and recovery work. This comes one day after we told you about dozens of residents that filed lawsuits claiming county leaders ignored ongoing wastewater system problems.
