The fallout continues at the Ukiah Natural Foods Co-op after a hiring controversy sparked a major employee walkout. Staff members left the job late last month after learning new general manager Robert Drake had a past conviction that placed him on a sex offender registry, and that board leaders knew before hiring him. Drake was fired just days later as criticism spread through the community and online. Now co-op members are demanding answers ahead of a public board meeting set for 5:30pm on May 18th
