California’s Secretary of State says she had no choice but to let a fringe candidate for governor spew antisemitic conspiracy theories in the voter information guide mailed out this week. Don Grundmann, running as an independent, wrote in his statement that Jewish people were to blame for bringing down the twin towers on 9/11, and the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Secretary of State Shirley Weber put out a statement Friday saying she condemns antisemitism, but Grundmann’s claims are protected by the first amendment.
