A new Ukiah banking center is doing more than just handling deposits and loans. Redwood Credit Union has moved into the Pear Tree Center and is offering free financial coaching to anyone who needs help getting their money on track. Staff say they’re helping people improve credit, prepare for college costs, and even plan for buying a home down the road. The credit union is also working with local students through hands-on financial literacy programs that teach budgeting and real-world money skills.
