Lake County is looking for residents willing to help run polling places during next month’s statewide primary election. Election officials say there’s a particular need for poll workers in the Clearlake area ahead of the June 6th election. The job includes a full Election Day shift from 6am until roughly 10pm, along with mandatory training beforehand. Workers will be paid stipends for both the training and their time at the polls. County officials say they’re looking for people who can help create a professional and welcoming environment for voters.
