An update to that early morning shooting in Covelo this weekend. Officicials are confirming it is a homicide investigation. Deputies say a 38-year-old woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds was rushed for help by a citizen, first to the fire department, then to a nearby home when no one was there, whis is where she was found by first responders. Police say she was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives add that the shooting happened on a dirt road near Charlie Hurt Highway and have been working the case with interviews and search warrants already underway.
