Crews have cleared from the scene of a fire East of Healdsburg. The Maacama fire burned about 2 and a half acres before it was contained late last night. Another wildfire season is looming over California, and officials are warning it could be a difficult one. At a town hall this week, State Senator Mike McGuire highlighted the billions already poured into prevention and firefighting efforts.McGuire says more funding is on the way to boost crews and cleanup projects across the state, particularly in Northern California. However, the Senator is sounding the alarm on potential federal budget cuts, warning that a loss of those resources could make an already tough season even more dangerous.
