A Ukiah man faces arson and several other charges for a Wednesday night fire at a business on Lovers Lane. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office says after a deputy saw what looked like a recently lit fire near an electrical box, investigators checked the surveillance video from the business and saw the suspect, now ID’d as Shane King, allegedly lighting the fire and stoking it before taking off on a bicycle. The fire was out pretty quickly and there was no major damage reported. King was charged with arson, prowling and more; the Sheriff says King has some previous charges related to a fire.
