An early morning earthquake rattled parts of the Bay Area yesterday, but it doesn’t appear to have caused serious problems. The 4.6 quake hit near Boulder Creek around 1:41am and was briefly reported as stronger before being downgraded. People felt it across a wide stretch, from San Francisco to Oakland and Hayward. Some folks reported things falling off shelves, but nothing major. So far, there are no reports of injuries.
