As the new Mendocino County Courthouse takes shape in Ukiah, the court is looking for some decor to eventually hang on the walls once the building opens next year. They’ve put out a call for photographers of all levels to submit their best work that will be put on display in the new courthouse when it opens next year. The photographers must live in the county, and the pictures have to be in one of seven categories related to the county. A panel of judges from local museums and art schools will pick the top two photos in each category. Entries must be turned in by July 31st at the Superior Court office on State Street, where you can find the complete contest rules.
