A big boost is coming for roads in Mendocino County. Caltrans District 1 says more than $20 million is being invested to fix damage from recent storms. Most of that money is going to Highway 1 near Westport, along with repairs and slide cleanup near Leggett. There’s also funding set aside to improve drainage near Manchester after heavy rains earlier this year. Officials say the goal is to make these roads safer and more reliable moving forward.
