A prescribed burn has started on the Western hills in Ukiah. The burn will cover 500 acres of chaparral and undergrowth in the woodlands west of Highway 101, southwest of the city. Operations will continue no later than April 15th, conditions permitting, and go from 8 am to 3 pm daily. You may notice smoke and aircraft during the burn times
